Project Description:
The focus of this course was to teach architecture as a socially engaged profession through collaborative architectural design projects benefitting community agencies. The students worked in teams on projects that included a concept design for renovation of town office space for the town of Stoddard, a design/renovation plans for the Stoddard Library, two projects for Southwestern Community Services: a master plan study for Rindge, N.H., and a design for a new 22-unit workforce housing project, design of a new synagogue for the Brattleboro Area Jewish Community, and a master plan study for a private co-housing project in Chesterfield, N. H.
