Project Description:
The Women’s Studies Capstone students worked with the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (NARAL) in New Hampshire. They organized a number of educational outreach events to teach college students about the importance of reproductive choice. NARAL has felt that their message about the importance of reproductive rights has not been reaching today's college students and so they have been trying to make connections at the various NH campuses with students and student organizations in order to remedy that lack. The students tabled at the Vagina Monologues, held a campus forum on reproductive choice, and participated in a number of smaller events in April doing similar outreach activities. Among these various outreach activities included one event wherein two of the students participated in a NARAL forum on intergenerational conversations about choice.
